Kyle J. Schuler, SET has been actively involved in the fire alarm and life safety systems industry since 1999. Over the course of his career, he has developed extensive experience in system installation, design, estimating, engineering coordination, project management, and technical sales.
Mr. Schuler currently focuses on fire alarm system design, consulting, and market development, while maintaining close working relationships with clients, contractors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). His work frequently involves complex system design coordination, code interpretation, quality assurance, and ensuring compliance with evolving life safety standards.
Mr. Schuler has been certified through the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in Fire Alarm Systems since 2004 and currently holds NICET Level IV in Fire Alarm Systems, along with NICET Level II in Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems. He also serves as a NICET Ambassador, helping promote professional development and certification within the life safety industry.
In addition to his NICET certifications, Mr. Schuler holds several professional licenses and credentials, including:
- Alarm Company Qualified Manager (ACQ) – Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (California)
- California State Fire/Life Safety Technician Certification (“Blue Card”)
- California Electrical Contractor License (C-10)
In addition to the website, Mr. Schuler created and manages one of the largest fire alarm industry communities on Facebook, bringing together more than 10,000 fire alarm professionals worldwide to discuss technical challenges, share industry insights, and support professional development within the trade.
